Before Keragon, Dr. Perlow was trying to build a custom practice management solution through Caspio. Protecting patient information was always her top priority, so every part of the system had to be HIPAA-compliant.

Managing both sides of the practice by hand also took a lot of time, and a previous third party practice management company didn’t meet the level of service the practice expected. On top of that, Dr. Perlow’s pregnancy care model isn’t standard for OB care. Patients move from Women’s Care to Pregnancy Care, then back to Women’s Care. These two transitions caused confusion, and made it difficult for the previous provider to serve patients clearly during an already stressful time in their lives.

One Form That Handles Every Path

The practice used Keragon to connect AthenaHealth, Jotform, Paubox and Square, building three main workflows: membership renewals, care transitions and patient information updates. For memberships, staff submit patient details through their Concierge Practice Management Form in Jotform, and Keragon’s built in logic picks the right path, even across two membership programs and five fee options. It then sends the correct renewal agreement through Paubox, and once the patient signs, updates their information across every system at the same time.
